The Group Chat

An ordinary evening at home

Oldest line first — the newest line is at the bottom.

Penny teacher
Mark's just sent me a message saying we remind him of him and Sarah at six months and if that's the benchmark we're behind schedule. Two lines, then a link to a wedding anniversary card.
Algy designer
What did the message actually say — the anniversary card bit too, or just the link? Because I want to be clear on exactly how much of a head start Mark thinks we're getting.
Penny teacher
The card said "still going strong," which for Mark is practically poetry. I've been telling them we're fine for three weeks now, so Saturday isn't just dinner, it's evidence.
Algy designer
Fair point, and that's on me — I've been dodging your friends instead of just showing up, so I'm sorry, plainly. What could I do differently, apart from the obvious of being somewhere when I say I will?
